MALMEDY 03/28 – The discomfort felt by around thirty pupils from the Thuin region while they were staying in a youth hostel in Malmedy is probably due to a virus, indicated Monday the mayor of the locality, Jean-Paul basin.
“Analyzes are in progress on the side of the federal agency for the safety of the food chain (Afsca) and the water supply has been cleared. On the other hand, several people have tested positive for norovirus. A virus cause of gastroenteritis”, explains the mayor of Malmedy. “We are therefore heading more towards a viral than a bacterial origin”, he adds.
