42% of voters support the far-right candidate Marina Lepena in the election – she has already thanked the supporters for that, emphasizing that the increase in support is also a success.
The second round of the French presidential election was predicted to be much more unpredictable than five years ago, when Macron won the Lepen by a huge margin. In the first round of elections two weeks ago, Macron received less than 28% of the vote and Lepena with 23.15%.
Makron has already been congratulated by the leaders and politicians of several countries, including Latvia.
Cher @EmmanuelMacronmy congratulations on your re-election as President of the Republic.
I look forward to continuing our excellent cooperation.
Together, we will move France and Europe forward.
