Mako from Japan & Kei Komuro: This is how they live in New York

When Mako from Japan (30) met her Kei Komuro (30) at a university almost ten years ago, she probably had no idea how much this encounter would change her life. Despite all adversities, their love continues to this day and the niece of the Japanese emperor Naruhito (61) decided to leave her royal life behind. Because according to the imperial house law, a princess loses her title if she marries a commoner.

On October 26th, the two of them stepped in front of the altar and Mako lost her title and also waived her dowry. Shortly afterwards, the newlyweds started their new lives in New York. Kei works for a law firm there. At the end of October, however, he is said to have failed the bar exam, but can repeat it in February. There are now very private glimpses of the couple’s new apartment. Even if the one-room apartment in Manhattan doesn’t come close to the imperial palace, Mako and Kei live quite luxuriously. With a monthly rent of around 3,800 euros, one or the other amenity should also be expected.

Mako from Japan: a farewell full of pain

“I love you Mako. I want to spend the rest of my life with the person I love.” Kei Komuro said these romantic words after his wedding to ex-princess Mako. The Japanese dream couple was engaged for four years before they could finally step in front of the altar. The hard fight for their love was followed by a sad farewell. Before the new life of the royal dropout could begin, the farewell to her family was imminent, which moved to tears. In addition to the joy about the wedding, the sadness prevailed in these touching scenes: Mako’s parents Akishino (55) and Kiko (55) and sister Kako (26) enjoyed the beautiful bride’s smile for a long time for the last time. A family member could no longer contain himself and fell stormily around Mako’s neck. These scenes hit the heart!
