Mako from Japan & Kei Komuro: This is how they live in New York

When Mako from Japan (30) met her Kei Komuro (30) at a university almost ten years ago, she probably had no idea how much this encounter would change her life. Despite all adversities, their love continues to this day and the niece of the Japanese emperor Naruhito (61) decided to leave her royal life behind. Because according to the imperial house law, a princess loses her title if she marries a commoner.

On October 26th, the two of them stepped in front of the altar and Mako lost her title and also waived her dowry. Shortly afterwards, the newlyweds started their new lives in New York. Kei works for a law firm there. At the end of October, however, he is said to have failed the bar exam, but can repeat it in February. There are now very private glimpses of the couple’s new apartment. Even if the one-room apartment in Manhattan doesn’t come close to the imperial palace, Mako and Kei live quite luxuriously. With a monthly rent of around 3,800 euros, one or the other amenity should also be expected.
