Researchers at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) have published a recent report on the number of nuclear warheads from nine world powers. Data shows that Russia is the owner of the largest number of nuclear warheads, namely 5,977 units.
The report published Monday (13/6/2022) said the number of nuclear warheads in the world increased compared to last year. The total is 12,705 units by early 2022, or 375 fewer than at the start of 2021.

According to SIPRI estimates, the following is data on the number of nuclear warhead holdings of nine countries:
1. Russia: 5,977 units
Although the owner of the most nuclear weapons in the world, but that number actually shrinks 280 units from 2021.
That number includes those deployed, in stock or waiting to be unloaded due to retirement.
According to SIPRI, its more than 1,600 nuclear warheads are believed to be in service soon.
