Since the youtuber Logan Paul started a Pokemon hype, many people have started collecting again. Some are just there to make quick money. In the meantime the hype has flattened a bit. And that’s good for anyone who wants to make money with Pokemon. Because now the purchase prices are falling again and making investments much more sensible and worthwhile.
If you collect or want to collect Pokemon cards, you should definitely make sure that you do not buy too expensive. Kiosks usually sell at normal prices – i.e. the recommended retail price. You have to be a little more careful online. Some shops also offer good products below the RRP – but some also want to buy properly and add a lot to the prices. So you should always compare the prices on site with those on ebay, in many different online shops and also on cardmarket.
Important: You can make some money with it by collecting Pokemon cards and then first selling duplicate cards and then later on increasing the value of your collection. Another way to earn money with Pokemon is what is known as reselling. Here you can either rely on your own online shop or simply try to buy cheaply on platforms such as ebay or cardmarket and then sell more expensively. But you have to know the market very well and have a feel for the cards and prices.
With your own online shop, this may be easier at first, because you can then buy the products relatively cheaply from wholesalers. But the difficulty then lies in reselling the products, dealing with problems with orders and shipping, and generally keeping the shop running. That should take some time. Of course, if it works, it can really pay off and make more money than simply collecting and selling the cards.

Buy and sell Pokemon games
What works with Pokemon cards can also be done on a smaller scale with Pokemon games or other merchandise items. There are a lot of Pokemon products such as the Gameboy games, Twitch games, the trading cards, other cards and generally a lot of products for a wide variety of occasions.

Especially old Pokemon Gameboy games or games for other consoles that are in good condition bring in very good prices. To do this, however, they would have to be in good condition and, if possible, still have the original packaging. You can look in the attic to see if there are still some old treasures or look around on platforms for good opportunities.
Create content on the topic
There are now channels on Youtube, Twitch and Co that have many millions of subscribers – and which concentrate fully on the topic of Pokemon. But you can also start building your own business with smaller channels. In German-speaking countries there are some rather smaller channels that bring Pokemon content and thus advertise their own shop and / or online shop. But there is another way: For example, the YouTuber The Zero of Time sells no products except a little of their own merch. He simply creates content, opens Pokemon boosters in front of the camera, reacts to Pokemon videos and provides his viewers with news about Pokemon. He has over 360,000 subscribers and, according to Socialblade, earns between 614 euros and 9,800 euros per month only with YouTube. In addition, there are advertising partnerships, Twitch income and his merchandise.
