Making a Big Image of his wife, Mark Zuckerberg suspected

Mark Zuckerbergthe founder of Facebook, recently unveiled a large statue depicting his wife, Priscilla Chan. Marriage therapy experts also spoke about Zuck’s reasons for making the image in the Roman style.

Zuck shared photos and videos of the statue on Instagram and said he wanted to bring back ancient Roman traditions with the statue of his wife. According to National Museums Liverpool, statues in ancient Rome were often made to honor deceased loved ones or to refer to close relatives and make relationships more meaningful.

The image was created by Daniel Arsham, an artist who has collaborated with famous brands such as Tiffany and Dior. The statue was placed under a tree that resembled Zuck and Chan’s garden. The Chan statue is bluish green in color and is about 2.1 meters tall. Chan is on the stairs, a large silver cloak flowing behind him.

Isabelle Morley, a psychologist who specializes in couples therapy, said this luxury gift could be a red flag. “What is the purpose of giving this gift?” he asked as detikINET from Aol.

For those whose background is not as good as Zuck’s and who are working hard to succeed, luxury gifts can be a way to show their progress without expecting anything in return. “It’s to honor their work and encourage them to show concern for those they love,” he explained.

But on the other hand, luxury gifts can be an attempt to manipulate the receiving party or expect a certain response. “Some people use gifts to make amends after bad behavior. That’s not what the image means,” he said.

“I did something wrong, I’ll fix it by giving you something shiny that makes you forget about it. The biggest red flag is if he’s expecting a certain response,” he said.

Zuckerberg showed the picture to his 14.5 million followers. “Is it just to show his deep love for her? Or to make him look good to others and get a good response from his wife?” Morley asked about Zuck’s decision to share it on social media.

Such displays of love can also indicate, based on studies, that the couple is not so happy in real life. But of course all that is just a theory and only Zuck and Chan know about it. Chan himself seems to like his image.

Chan was also standing next to his large statue while sipping a drink from a cup. “The bigger I am, the better?” Chan said in a comment on Zuckerberg’s post followed by a heart emoji.
