Buenos Aires –
Besides Erling Haaland, Manchester City will have Julian Alvarez in the cutting edge sector next season. He showed off sharpness by making six goals in one game.
Man City confirmed to get Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. The Citizens reportedly had to spend 51 million pounds to recruit this Norwegian striker.
Haaland is expected to be a solution to the absence of a pure striker that Man City has this season after the departure of Sergio Aguero. Haaland has this capacity after appearing fertile by scoring 86 goals from 89 appearances for Dortmund.
But besides Haaland, Man City will also have other ammunition in the spearhead position next season. This is Julian Alvarez.
Man City had redeemed Alvarez from River Plate in January for a reported transfer fee of £15.3 million. The Argentine striker did not immediately join Manchester Blue because he was on loan at River until July.
Alvarez is no less sharp with Haaland. He has scored 14 goals from 17 with River this season.
Most recently, he showed off his sharpness by packing six goals when River beat Alianza Lima 8-1 in the Copa Libertadores, Thursday (26/5). Man City, through its CEO, Ferran Soriano, has also confirmed that he will optimize Alvarez next season.
“We have offers from several clubs to borrow Julian Alvarez, but he will not leave. He will have pre-season with us and will remain with us,” Soriano, quoted from sportsmole.
