Russian UFC champion Islam Makhachev declared on Twitter that the Australian Alexander Volkanovski dominated the fight with him for only one minute in all five rounds.

Makhachev on February 12 in Perth defeated Volkanovski, who claimed the Russian lightweight title, by unanimous decision.

Volkanovski after paint wrote on Twitter that he rewatched the fight and “definitely won the second, third and fifth rounds.” The Australian expressed surprise that he was not recognized as the winner, although after the fight he admitted the loss, and demanded a rematch anytime anywhere.

“Reviewed the record of the fight. To be honest, out of 25 minutes, Volkanovski won only the last one, ”Makhachev wrote.

After the fight, Makhachev admitted that the fight turned out to be tough, but his opponent was the best fighter in the UFC rating at that time, and not “the kid from the street.”

Volkanovski is the UFC featherweight champion with 25 wins and two losses.

Makhachev has 24 wins and only one loss in MMA.
