MakeUp in NewYork returns in September in a booming American market

MakeUp in NewYork come back September 14 and 15, 2022 at the River Pavilion – Javits Center to bring the beauty community together and empower professionals to co-create tomorrow’s bestsellers. The show is benefiting from a particularly favorable context, with a market boosted by sales of perfumes and make-up and consumers reconnecting with their pre-pandemic habits.

Make-up and skincare

In front of the rise in power of the hybridization of make-up and skincarethe MakeUp in shows have been adapting their offer for several years to meet market expectations: conferences and exhibitors now offer an overview of the various trends and innovations in both the skincare and make-up markets.

To highlight this new positioning, the show has equipped itself with a new visual identity and of a whole new website.

Innovation Awards

As every year, the IT Awards will give brands an overview of the exhibitors’ most remarkable innovations.

The competition highlights the main novelties in terms of textures and formulas, ingredients, packaging and accessories in order to promote innovation and meet the needs of the entire sector. Among the novelties submitted by more than 100 exhibitors, an international jury of independent experts will select four products which will be rewarded with an award and exhibited during the event.

Conference program

Otherwise, MakeUp in NewYork renewed its collaboration with the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. The SCC will convene two expert panels at this year’s show to discuss cosmetic ingredients and current legal issues.

MakeUp in New York also continues its partnership with the international consulting and trend forecasting agency, Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation. During the event, Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation will host four Beauty Talks, each showcasing a key beauty theme that will impact the industry over the coming year or years:

On this occasion, Leila Rochet, Chief Innovation Officer of the agencywill be joined by industry figures to decode the major trends and consumer behaviors that will shape the sector beyond 2022.
