Makes nine-year-old Grand Theft Auto V look insanely cool

There are almost no limits to what creative gaming fans can achieve once they get the hang of it. Take, for example, modifications that introduce The Thomas train to Elden Ring or one multiplayer mode for Stray – or the many, many tweaks that make the games we love even better to watch.

This is how a game from 2013 could look like.

It is precisely the latter that Grand Theft Auto V player “Inter” has tackled. With various modifications and at least eleven hours with the graphics tool Reshade, he has polished and polished the nine-year-old game, and the result is quite incredible.

The video at the top of the article shows a raucous motorcycle ride through the streets of Los Santos. Both buildings and cars have been given a solid facelift, and lovely reflections in windows and water ponds are the crowning glory.

Of course, it all requires a juicy rig, and Inter uses, among other things, Intel’s i9 12900K processor, the RTX 3090Ti graphics card from Nvidia and a whopping 64 GB of memory. Only there is a stiff entry price, and if you want the recipe for Inter’s graphics wonder for Grand Theft Auto V, you must also subscribe to his Patreon-side.

Whether we’ll see anything close to these graphics in the next Grand Theft Auto remains to be seen. As the game must also be able to run on consoles and weaker PCs – not just the best of the best – Rockstar will probably have to put the list a few notches lower.
