After a week missing in the Aare River, Ridwan Kamil’s family decided to let their son go. Emmeril Khan Mumtadz was declared dead by drowning.
The search for Eril’s body is still ongoing. However, Ridwan Kamil and Atalia Praratya returned to Indonesia and were greeted by their parents’ hugs.
Ridwan Kamil and Atalia Praratya with their second child, Camillia Laetitia Azzahra returned to Indonesia after the 7th day of searching for Eril. They returned to the country because Ridwan Kamil’s time off had run out.
The couple, who married in 1996, arrived in Indonesia on 3/5/2022 in the afternoon via Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Arriving in Bandung, they immediately met with a large family.
In the video upload @dudisugani which was re-uploaded by the Instagram account @jabarquickresponse, Ridwan Kamil was seen kneeling in his mother’s arms. He never stopped hugging his mother when he released the sadness that had been suppressed for so long.
The mother returned Ridwan Kamil’s hug and calmed him down by stroking his son’s shoulder. Meanwhile next to him, Atalia Praratya also did the same.
The big family gathering that took place that night was shrouded in sorrow. Many could not help but cry bitterly at the passing of their beloved figure Emmeril Khan Mumtadz.
Ridwan Kamil’s meeting with his extended family was also intended to prepare for the recitation program they held at the official residence of the Pakuan Building, Bandung, West Java.
Since Saturday (4/6/22) afternoon, extended families and invited guests have gathered wearing all-white and black clothes to pray for the late Eril.
Ridwan Kamil’s video upload kneeling in his mother’s arms immediately went viral on social media. Many netizens shared the governor’s sadness and wished the best for the late Eril.
