Makers ”is a work about light, time and love, traveling between comic overflow and emotional containment, between nonsense and truth. A show that mixes the poetic and the philosophical, in a kind of manual for survivors that tries to provide solutions to our transition into reality. The result is a staging in which the comic duo of Juan and Óscar tackles classic themes such as love, time and light, mixed with emotional humor.
The conducive attitude of makers is defined in the phrase of the philosopher Daniel Innerarity: “… reality is complex, and when someone raises it in a binary way we have the obligation to suspect”. The project takes as its starting point the story “El hacedor” by Agustín Fernández Mallo, a remake of “El hacedor” by JL Borges, in which the themes are reality and time, and the fact of shaping in light .
The theater is that: always real, always true, and quite the opposite at the same time. Time is the last key that defines the quality of what is shared, and at the end of everything, what can remain is an act of love, that is, not forgetting to make light.
Óscar Gomez Mata says: “Juan and I are two actors, two creators and to think of each other on stage is to receive reality as a mystery, it is to play between astonishment and innocence, it is to work on reality and its B-side, the dream, and more specifically about the idea that we have of the truth ”.
