This weekend, August 28 and 29, is the 2021 edition of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (MS) Cyclo Tour SP – Côte-Nord section.
There is still time to register. This year’s edition is unfolding in a different way than in the past.
The participants are invited to support the cause by pedaling, whether by road, electric, hybrid, mountain or fatbike, even unicycle or tricycle.
“We are targeting the entire North Shore since the event is virtual,” said director Geneviève Arsenault
This virtual edition gives the opportunity to take on your own challenge, any time of the weekend and go at your own pace.
In addition to the recreational component, there is the family one with a photo rally. Registered participants must write to [email protected] to receive the notebook.
Registration is at a cost of $ 25. You proceed via the www.cyclotoursp.ca.
Sponsors will be posted on placards at a few strategic locations.
The organization invites participants to take their picture and post it on social networks with the hashtag # CycloTourSP2021. Each $ 25 of donations raised by participants will give them an additional chance for the participation prizes which will be drawn on August 30 during a Facebook Live.
Caution and vigilance
As many cyclists will pedal for the cause, motorists are asked to be extra careful and vigilant, particularly on the coasts of the Rive sector (Routhier and Lévesque beaches) and on Route 138, between Sept-Îles and Port- Cartier.
