Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Stickers are a popular alternative to emojis in WhatsApp and several other instant messaging platforms. Previously, users could only create stickers from third parties, now WhatsApp is preparing to launch a sticker creation feature.
This was revealed by one Twitter user Mukul Sharma, who quoted 91 Mobiles. There is a ‘create’ button that allows foam users to create their own stickers.
The button that makes the sticker is known to appear on the beta version of WhatsApp. Sharma confirmed to Android Authority that the feature is working now and is available via WhatsApp Web.
This feature makes it possible to create stickers from photos on a PC. The sticker creation feature also offers tools to accurately crop images, rotate, and undo or redo changes.
This sticker creation feature could be a welcome update from the current situation, as WhatsApp is currently asking users to install a separate sticker creation app from the Play Store.
There is no official news when this feature will be rolled out to all users, nor is there any news whether this feature will be present on WhatsApp smartphones.
But quoted 91 Mobiles, this feature has been spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp and is expected to roll out to everyone in the next few weeks.
WhatsApp is currently reportedly working on a series of updates to its app, including increasing the time limit for deleting messages in chats.
Currently WhatsApp lets you delete messages to everyone 1 hour, 8 minutes, 16 seconds. The deadline is said to be extended in a future update.
This feature is currently under testing and is also not available to beta testers. WhatsApp is working on changing the timeout to 6 days and 8 minutes.
