Sergio Agüero is apparently foregoing most of his previous income for his move to FC Barcelona. As reported by ‘Mundo Deportivo’, the 33-year-old will receive an annual salary of six million euros at Barça – compared to 23 million euros at Manchester City. However, the sum can still increase through game and title bonuses, but the Argentine will not come anywhere near his former remuneration.

The main reason for Agüero’s move to Catalonia was his friendly relationship with superstar Lionel Messi, although his future is still unclear, at least publicly, given his expiring contract. According to reports, a contract extension from La Pulga is extremely likely – also thanks to the Agüero transfer.
