More than 100 people, elders, adults, children, babies, were at the Table de Maurice on June 17 to share the pleasure of music and exchanges in a magnificent setting opening onto a prestigious panorama. It was the evening “Make music without electricity” organized by Safeguard Heritage Mouret.
Local producers had come to offer their productions for an excellent snack in addition to the association’s refreshment bar. About fifteen musicians and singers had wanted to meet for this evening which had become traditional. A regret, the impossibility for a singer and a singer, voiceless that evening, to share their talent. After the time of traditional music (2 violins, 1 banjo, 1 diatonic accordion, 2 chromatic accordions, 1 hurdy-gurdy), place to the song (singer accompanied by 2 acoustic guitars), then around 11 p.m. a repertoire of Irish music ( violins, flute, banjo). Back then to a repertoire of dance music. A dozen couples met to the rhythms of Scottish, mazurkas, bourrées, branles, polkas… Without forgetting, of course, the repertoire of occasional local singers. The party ended around 1:30 a.m. around Cyril, singer guitarist, and an “inexhaustible” repertoire of French song standards.
