While there’s no release date, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is still slated for PC later this year, and the much-anticipated successor to Dinosaur Management already has a host of new features planned. A big new plus is the addition of a team of scientists to work individually – and if you don’t, expect them all to go to the Dennis Nedry in your yard.
Scientists are the new park management support team introduced in Jurassic World Evolution 2, which was briefly revealed last month in the game’s initial development notes – except you might be distracted by the news that these skilled girls can now hunt Velociraptors in groups. . .
Developer Frontier has now released a new video guide especially for Jurassic World Evolution 2 scientists, with lots of details on how to help or hinder the player’s garden. While they can help improve the functions of various parks, such as a cheaper dinosaur farm or faster fossil digs, they can also become stressed, leading to “disastrous consequences.”
If the player lets his scientists get too tired, they can sabotage the park facilities and even let the dinosaurs escape. Jurassic World Evolution also had this feature, but this is the first time players in the series have been able to manage individual NPC needs rather than “science” as a whole – something the first game criticized a bit, so it’s good to to see Frontier improving on this.
There’s still a lot we don’t know about Jurassic World Evolution 2, including a release date after the mysterious “2021” – only a few months left, grab one – although it looks like it would improve things a lot from the first game. We hope to see more soon to continue this trend.
