The Eurobarometer noted that 56 percent of respondents agree with the direction the EU is taking. 91 percent support humanitarian aid for Ukraine and 88 percent support the reception of war refugees.
In addition, 65 percent are in favor of arms transfers to Ukraine, but 80 percent ask that European countries better coordinate the purchase of weapons. According to the poll, 77 percent would prefer to see an overarching European defense and security policy.
More than 26,000 people were surveyed for the Eurobarometer, which took place between mid-January and early February.
