Just over half of New Yorkers (52%) want the NYPD budget increased amid growing safety concerns over violent crime in the city, according to a new survey.
In the survey of Spectrum News NY1/Siena College Survey of 1,000 people between May 22 and June 1, 52% of respondents said the NYPD budget should increase, 27% want it to remain unchanged, and only 17% said it should be reduced.
