Major update adds graphics options and more

Ubisoft has made a major update available for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. That has been done for all platforms. On the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, players can now further adjust the graphics options and fixes have been made for all platforms.

From full patch notes can be found here. Update 1.0.4 will be rolling out today, November 26, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Stadia and Amazon Luna.

Among the many new options is the ability to choose between Performance and Quality mode on Xbox Series X, S and PlayStation 5. With Performance Mode, the game will adjust the resolution and graphics to allow 60FPS. In Quality mode, Valhalla will run at maximum resolution and graphics settings, but will still play in 30FPS. Ubisoft states that Performance mode is the default setting for both Series X and PlayStation 5. Quality mode is set by default on Series S.

The update should also improve the experience on Series X and S. Several players report that ‘RAM leak’ and tearing took place on Microsoft’s console. PC players got these problems when using alt-tab. Cloud saves will now be more distinguishable from local saves, and Ubisoft has balanced the balance of a number of items.

Runes are now listed in different categories and when you unlock a skill, all nodes in the path to it will now be automatically selected.
