Diablo II: Resurrected received update 2.6. According to Blizzard, the patch is now available for download, but players will have to wait until Friday to start the third season. The rating ladder will become available on February 17th.
2.6 brought with it eight new runic words such as Remedy, Rage and Hearth. This time, the developers have focused on providing players with various immunities and damage reductions, with some of these bonuses having changed slightly since the update was released on the test servers. The same goes for the old runic words, as the new update also brings game balance changes.
In addition, from now on, the Terror Zones added in version 2.5 are available during offline play. The “layout” for their appearance is expected to be somewhat different than for an online ranked game. Players have reported that “offline” terror zones can currently be found in Rocky Hollow.
Of course, the patch also brought with it a lot of fixes, not necessarily related to the gameplay. The full list of changes introduced in patch 2.6 can be found at Blizzard messagepublished last week.
