Reliable sources revealed to An-Nahar that a major scandal occurred inside the Jiyeh Thermal Plant, which was represented by the theft of a large amount of laboratory tools, especially what is known as “copper bars” or expensive copper rods and other tools that can be sold as scrap.

The sources explained that “the thefts were carried out in the manner of their protectors, thieves, and they are not the first of their kind, as a similar incident occurred and they were wrapped. The last theft, which no one revealed, was very large, and that State Security and the security forces at the Saadiyat police station opened an investigation with the administration and employees.” .
