The power went out in several Brussels municipalities on Friday evening. This is apparent from images on social media, but distribution system operator Sibelga also confirms it. The breakdown could last until midnight.

According to Sibelga, there is a power failure in parts of Jette, Koekelberg and Ganshoren. But the municipalities of Evere and Sint-Agatha-Berchem would also be affected. According to Bruzz traffic lights would also be out here and there.
Sibelga reports that the power failure in Evere, Ganshoren and Sint-Agatha-Berchem will last until 11.50 pm. There is currently no explanation for the sudden power failure.
