According to several US media reports, on the 11th, two US Democratic lawmakers tabled a bill to suspend US arms sales to Saudi Arabia in response to major oil-producing countries’ decision to reduce crude oil production from November.
The report says that if the bill is passed, the United States will suspend sales of weapons and equipment to Saudi Arabia for a period of one year.
The US “Politician” reported on the 6th that many members of the Democratic Congress in the United States were angry at the increasingly unbalanced relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Some members of the US Democratic Congress have expressed hope that the US government will use both hard and soft measures to persuade Saudi Arabia to change its mind by various means.
The US government has lobbied major oil-producing governments to dissuade them from cutting production. But the move didn’t work. After major oil producing countries announced their decision to cut production, some US media pointed out that this was a failure of US diplomacy.
