Larry Hrybknown as Major Nelsonis leaving after 20 years Xbox. He was the face of Xbox, promoting the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles, as well as the Xbox Live network and related free-to-play subscription games. You can remember him from, among other things, videos with unboxing consoles.
This likeable guy has built a great relationship with the Xbox community and has been there for Microsoft’s gaming division as well as for its unexpected setbacks, most notably the poor reception of the Xbox One with Kinect in the box. We currently do not know who will succeed him.

When I take a moment to think about all that we have accomplished together, I want to thank the millions of players around the world who have included me in their lives. I also want to thank the members of the Xbox team for the trust they have shown me in direct dialogue with our customers. The future of Xbox is bright and I, as a gamer, look forward to its development.” stated Hryb.
If you follow the Official Xbox Podcast, it will be on hiatus over the summer. It will then return in the new format. But that will be without Major Nelson.
“Larry, it’s been great working with you on this journey. Thank you for being my friend and for everything you’ve done for our community and the Xbox team.” he thanked Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft’s gaming division. Rival PlayStation also reacted to the departure of the Xbox icon.
