In the FCM podcast “Once – Forever”, Niedung explained: “We have to be different from the others.”
This means that major investors will have no place at the second division club in the future either. Niedung, who has headed the supervisory board since 2022: “We need new partners and sponsors who have blue and white blood and who identify with the club.”
That is why new marketing strategies are to be developed. The club should also be made attractive to companies that have not previously had the club on their radar.

Niedung: “Nevertheless, we manage to be competitive. And it is our aim to land in the middle of the field at some point. We have to see how we can get there with our values and creative ideas.”
Niedung also sees a need to catch up in terms of membership numbers. The number currently stands at around 13,400. Niedung: “Every new member helps us, helps the next generation.”
