Major fire in the Vanier sector of Quebec

Around 8 p.m., Quebec firefighters responded to a fire in a two-story apartment building on Cardinal Street in the Vanier sector, very close to Père-Lelièvre Boulevard.

The Fire Department sounded three alarms quickly as flames were spreading through the roof.

As you can see from the images sent by readers, the flames were already ravaging a good part of the fire roof.

The SPCIQ indicated “due to the fire and water damage, none of the four occupied accommodations can be returned to work. A Civil Security representative was on site to ensure that the occupants were taken care of by The Red Cross was also on site to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
