Major fire in Harderwijk marina: several ships went up in flames | Inland

The fire briefly threatened to spread to an adjacent hall at Marie Curiestraat, but firefighters managed to prevent that. The fire was under control around 6 a.m., a spokesman said. The damage must be in the tens of thousands of euros, if not more. No one was injured. The cause is still unclear.

Odor nuisance

The safety region expects to be busy extinguishing the fire for hours. Smoke may be released during this process and local residents are advised to close windows and doors and switch off the ventilation.
