“The fire has been limited to Carpetright. Surrounding buildings, including a party center that partly protrudes above the Carpetright building, has suffered smoke damage,” said a spokesman for the security region.
The fire broke out just after 1 a.m., around 4 a.m. the fire brigade had the situation under control again.
Next to a residential area
The industrial estate is located next to a residential area. The fire brigade sent out an NL-Alert to local residents last night. In it they were called upon to close windows and doors.
The exact cause of the fire has yet to be investigated.
