The fire probably started at a company where many car tires were in storage, says a spokesperson for the Safety Region. According to sources, the fire has spread to neighboring companies.
Due to the smoke development, an NL-Alert has been sent. People in the area are advised to close windows and doors and turn off mechanical ventilation. “For the time being, the smoke is going straight up, so there is little inconvenience.”
