A very large fire raged on Tuesday at a scrap processor on the Rietwaardenkade in Den Bosch. The fire brigade is on site with dozens of men to fight the fire, but according to the safety region, that is difficult.

At the company that scrapes cars, a mountain of rubber, iron and metal waste measuring approximately 100 by 100 meters is on fire. An NL-Alert was sent earlier in the morning. According to local residents, the burning rubber causes odors. People affected by the smoke are advised to stay indoors, keep doors and windows closed, and turn off ventilation.
The smoke also passes over the A59, but it is not closed. Rijkswaterstaat reports that there is a reduced view of the motorway between Engelen and the Empel junction and has therefore adjusted the speed limit.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. There are no known victims.
