Major fire at recycling company in Hengelo

A very large fire broke out in the hall of a recycling company in Hengelo. It is a paper recycling company Knol in the Parelstraat. All the paper in the hall of the company is on fire, as is the hall itself. This causes a lot of smoke development, reports RTV Oost.

The fire brigade advises residents of Hengelo to close windows and doors, because the fire is accompanied by a lot of smoke and odor. Efforts are currently being made to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.

To have enough extinguishing water, water is taken from the Twente Canal. The Diamantstraat has been closed off for this.
