Major fire at industrial estate in Haarlem Waarderpolder | Inland

A spokesperson for the Kennemerland Safety Region says that several business premises have been affected by the fire. It is a ‘very big fire’, the flames burst from the roof: “We have had a lot of vehicles to get a lot of water here. In this way we hope to get the fire under control quickly. ”

Nothing is yet known about the cause of the fire: “I cannot say anything about that yet. It is really too early for that. ” The spokesperson for the Security Region says that more may become clear about this in the course of Wednesday morning.

Keep windows and doors closed

The Safety Region advises to keep the windows and doors closed in the event of smoke nuisance. According to the Safety Region, the wind is heading towards the meadows: “The fire brigade has alerted measuring teams to monitor this.”
