Her rival Donald Trump demanded on Wednesday night that donors stop the flow of money to Haley, who is now the only one trying to challenge him in the race to become the Republican presidential candidate in the fall.
Trump won the nominations in both Iowa and New Hampshire and is hoping to knock out Haley in her home state of South Carolina on February 24.
One of the donors, Andy Sabin, says in an interview that the Republican nomination process is practically over. Trump won in New Hampshire with 55 percent of the vote to Haley’s 43 percent.
– Haley has to finish, he says, and continues:
– No matter what anyone says, she’s going to run out of money. Why should you finance someone you know has no chance?
Trump threatens blacklisting
Reid Hoffman, who is one of LinkedIn’s founders, has also announced that he is dropping further support for Haley.
Dmitri Mehlhorn, an adviser to Hoffman, says Haley’s only possible path to the nomination will be if Trump has what he calls a “coming of age moment” that Haley can use to persuade voters that Trump has lost his grip.
Trump stated on his social platform Truth Social on Wednesday that any person who donates to Haley will be “permanently banned” from his political sphere.

NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE (VG) Kari Lake thinks Nikki Haley needs to look herself in the mirror and give up the fight against Donald Trump.
– Well, in that case… donate here. Get started, Haley signs X and Facebook attaching a link in response to Trump’s warning to her donors.
A spokesperson for Haley’s campaign staff said Thursday that she has raised about $1 million in the first 24 hours since the Trump threat and the New Hampshire nomination.
In the period from October to December, she raised $24.5 million, according to a previous statement from her campaign staff.
Haley has vowed to continue the fight against Trump for the nomination in the Republican Party.
One of her donors, New York trial lawyer Eric Levine, blasts Trump’s threats to Haley’s donors.
– It could be the same, says Levine.
– He seems desperate, says another donor, venture investor Tim Draper.
Businessman Art Pope believes Trump’s threats show that the former president is “a horrible person”.
– It only does more damage, says Draper about Trump’s approach.
