Major Companies Support Microsoft’s Acquisition of Activision Blizzard King, Including Nintendo, Take-Two, and Valve | EA CEO Andrew Wilson Excited about Industry Growth Opportunities

While Sony was strongly opposed to Microsoft buying Activision Blizzard King, many other major companies have been more positive, and we have previously reported how executives from companies such as Nintendo, Take-Two and Valve supported the acquisition.

EA also seems to be pleased, with boss Andrew Wilson even calling it one “great thing” and you CNBC-interview:

“I think Microsoft and Activision is a great thing, it means one of the biggest companies in the world is going to continue to invest in our industry, to help us grow the industry over time.

But when we think about our position – at least as an independent developer and publisher of the world’s leading interactive entertainment content – we are very positive about our opportunities, and to the extent that there are opportunities for acquisitions, we will of course look at them.”

There have recently been rumors that EA itself may be acquired or merged with another giant, and Disney has been one of the mentioned parties. So far, nothing has been officially revealed, and considering the good start of EA Sports FC 24, it seems that the company is well positioned for the future.
