Dresden. On Thursday, emergency services from the Dresden Federal Police Inspectorate discovered a large group of people in the area of ​​the Dresden-Airport motorway exit.

At around 11 a.m., the federal police recognized the group of people in the Feldstrasse area and checked them. Some of the people tried to escape and hid, among other things, in the adjacent ditch.

As the search continued, the federal police and Saxony police were able to locate a total of 25 people in the surrounding area. The people were 23 male and two female with Syrian nationality. Including six minors between the ages of 2 and 17.

All people were taken to the premises of the Federal Police in Dresden and will then be forwarded to an initial reception facility. The federal police are currently conducting an investigation into the smuggling of foreigners. (SZ/juj)
