Péter Majoros, i.e. Majka, will be one of the new mentors of the X-Faktor talent show starting in the fall, announced the RTL.
After the 11th season in 2022, RTL sent the X-Faktor on a one-year break and replaced it with the talent show The Voice, but they will return to the X-Faktor in 2024. Among the old mentors, only Laci Gáspár will be in the sequel. RTL promises that the other two new mentors will be introduced in the near future.
“Majka has been one of the stars of the Hungarian light music scene for more than ten years, she has achieved practically everything and knows everything about this profession. He has such professional experience that it will definitely be worth applying to the X-Faktor, as he will be one of the mentors you can work with,” said Verebély Marcell, the show’s senior creative producer.
“It wasn’t even a question for us that we would continue the x-factor collaboration with Laci Gáspár, and when it turned out that Majka would be sitting next to him, it was very important to take into account the aspect that they know each other. They are two very, very determined personalities, so they will surely cause us a lot of exciting moments on the screen,” said Verebély.
In 2002, Majka appeared in RTL Klub’s reality show Való Világ, where she came second. Later, he continued his career as a host of Válo Világ, as well as an actor and rapper. After Való Világ, he was the presenter of Cool TV, part of RTL’s portfolio, but also appeared several times, for example, in Heti Hetes. He later continued his television career at other channels, was the defining face of TV2 for many years, and became one of the country’s most successful music performers. It was announced at the end of last year that it would return to RTL’s screens.
