Berlin (dpa) – Four games, four wins – the e-athletes from 1. FSV Mainz 05 maintain their impeccable record in the still young season of the Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship in EA Sports FC 24.
On the first triple match day of the 2023/24 VBL season, the Mainz professionals Ditmir “Ditmir_4897” Alimi and Max Julius “Diviners” Gröne secured victories against Karlsruher SC (3:0; 5:2), TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (1:1 ; 1:2; 2:3) and SV Wehen Wiesbaden (4:1; 4:4; 3:2). This puts the team from Rhineland-Palatinate comfortably at the top of the South-East Division with twelve points.
However, competition is lurking. With FC Augsburg there is a team within striking distance of the 05ers. The Fuggerstadt team are still unbeaten, but due to a draw against Hertha BSC (0:5; 3:1; 2:2) they are in second place with ten points.
There was a setback for the champions RB Leipzig. The Saxons suffered a bitter defeat against the previously pointless team from SV Elversberg (1:2; 3:7). In the South-East relay table, Leipzig is in third place with seven points.
