Slipping or the first stage of weakness? After a defeat in Paderborn on Friday against U23s Fortuna Düsseldorf, MSV Duisburg wanted to give an answer and get back on the road to success.
Sussek and Fakhro registered the first ways to score for Duisburg in the opening quarter hour. But the Fortuna talents were involved from the start. In the 12th minute, Boller came free to direct the ball, MSV goalkeeper Braune made a strong reaction. Soon after, Hahn made a return pass that was too short, Bunk ran the ball and beat Braune to give Düsseldorf the lead (13th).
MSV tried to correct this damage immediately, but the Fortuna talents were steadfastly protected. A slick cross from Sussek almost had to be used for the equalizer after almost half an hour, but Pawelczyk directed the arc lamp towards the corner in desperate need.

But referee Kampka’s team was offside, so the goal didn’t count. But Duisburg still had one thing: Coskun Fakhro’s cross found the middle, which went over from a few meters.
