The first film was successful

Labina Mitevska got into acting a bit by accident, even though she was very interested in art as a teenager. As she said a few years ago in an interview with Novinky, she never missed a show or film and theater premiere that took place widely around the city of Skopje, where she lived.

One day she went up to the film crew and expressed interest in watching his work. At that time, she was registered with a casting agency and soon after Labina Mitevska got her first film role. However, Labina did not enjoy the career of a professional actress even after such success, doubts arose because she felt that the acting environment was somewhat fake. That is also why she decided to go to offers that she likes a lot and in which she sees some meaning.

After studying at the Faculty of Art and Archeology in Skopje, she also attended the Danish European Film College and, as part of her studies, visited the Department of Art History at the University of Arizona. The actress, who also works as a producer in the family company Sisters and Brother Mitevski, has been involved in films over the years, for example Welcome to Sarajevo (1997), upside down (2007), False testimony (2015) or The happiest man in the world (2022).

And of course in those already mentioned A lonerwhich is why Labina Mitevská is also known in the Czech Republic. She played the barmaid Vesna – an attractive and charming girl, and the picture even won Labina nominated for the Czech Lion.

Before settling back in Macedonia a few years ago to have a daughter named Vega, Labina was a world traveler. In addition to Denmark and the USA, she lived for several years in Germany and England. She filmed in Italy, Turkey and Bulgaria, among others. In short, she has traveled a lot and she is still traveling because this is one of her biggest hobbies. In addition, she enjoys visiting museums and reading in her spare time.

Regarding her career, Labina Mitevska tries to do things with overlap and she is not afraid to work on religious and political subjects. After all, she talked about them in the past in newspapers, for which she wrote a regular column. She sat and still sits on the juries of various film festivals.
