BEIJING, Sept.8 (Xinhua) – The 12th Strait Forum will be held in mainland China’s Fujian Province from Sept. 19, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.
This year’s forum will be organized on the theme of promoting people-to-people exchanges across the Taiwan Strait, said Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
Within the framework of the forum, whose main site will be Xiamen, a port city in Fujian, more than 30 activities were organized online and offline for cultural and economic exchanges, as well as communications among the youth and the grassroots popular masses. across the Taiwan Strait, according to Ma.
Representatives from Taiwan, including Wang Jin-pyng, former vice chairman of the Kuomintang, will come to Fujian to participate in the forum, he added.
