Mainfranken: Vaccination prioritization remains in Bavaria

From Monday, the vaccination prioritization is to be lifted nationwide with general practitioners and in the vaccination centers. In Bavaria, however, it remains for the vaccination centers. That is why the vaccination centers will continue to assign vaccination appointments according to prioritization. This is also confirmed by the Würzburg vaccination center on the Talavera. Vaccination appointments for the general public could only be given if all persons in the priority groups 1 to 3 had received a vaccination offer. Afterwards, registered persons could receive an automated invitation according to the registration order.

As soon as enough vaccine is available again for initial vaccinations, the remaining 5,200 registered in priority group 2 in the city and district of Würzburg could be vaccinated. This is communicated by the responsible district office. At the moment, it is mainly second vaccinations that are taking place. First vaccinations should not be given again until the end of June. Those who wish to be vaccinated for the first time are currently more likely to be vaccinated at the family doctor or in the clinics.

In the Main-Spessart district, priority 2 is still vaccinated. There, too, only second vaccinations are currently being carried out.

In the Kitzingen district, vaccinations are currently in priority group 3. Only a few people from groups 1 and 2 still trickle down.

From Monday, company doctors will also be allowed to vaccinate. The government has earmarked 700,000 doses of vaccine for this purpose. The Institute for Occupational Medicine and Occupational Safety sees this as an opportunity to contain the sources of infection – because the virus was spread easily, especially in large companies.
