Mainfranken: SchuldnerAtlas 2021 – Fewer people …

In the whole of Main Franconia, significantly fewer people are over-indebted than a year ago. This is shown by the SchuldnerAtlas Germany 2021 from Creditreform. Accordingly, the number of people with debt in the region has fallen by an average of half a percent. Even compared to the rest of Germany, the region is financially stable. Across Germany, the over-indebtedness rate is around 8.9 percent – in the region it is on average significantly lower.

The districts of Schweinfurt, Würzburg and Main-Spessart are among the top 20 least over-indebted in a nationwide comparison. The one who did the best Schweinfurt district. The district is in third place nationwide. Here, 4.5 percent of all citizens have so high debts that they can no longer pay it off on their own. Just behind – in 7th place – it lands Würzburg district. There, the over-indebtedness rate is around 4.7 percent. Of the Main-Spessart district
lands in 17th place – the rate is around 5.1 percent.

Im Kitzingen district around six percent of people are over-indebted. The circle ends up in 64th place. The is a little further behind City of Würzburg, namely in 111th place. There, the over-indebtedness rate is about seven percent. the City of Scheinfurt finally lands in 273rd place with a rate of around 9.4 percent. This puts the city above the nationwide quota. Nonetheless, there are fewer over-indebted people here compared to the previous year.

In total, the SchuldnerAtlas Germany 2020 lists all 401 districts and independent cities. The fact that the numbers are declining not only in Main Franconia, but across Germany, despite the corona pandemic, is related to the increasing success of the vaccination campaign and the relaxation of the corona protective measures.
