Parking in Würzburg could soon become more expensive. Up to two euros per hour can be charged in the inner city area. The city’s environment and mobility committee has already approved it – the city council will make the final decision.
There are a number of free parking spaces in several cities in the districts of Würzburg, Kitzingen and Main-Spessart:
In Ochsenfurt there are more than 600 parking spaces that are free of charge. Another 42 parking spaces cost 50 cents per hour.
There are four categories in the city of Kitzingen: around 100 parking spaces are free, almost 250 are managed: a small part of them costs 50 cents an hour, 100 cost one euro and another hundred 2 euros.
In Marktheidenfeld there are around 1,000 free parking spaces, another 200 are managed and cost 1 euro per hour. If you shop in the city, you can have the parking price reimbursed in part or in full.
In Karlstadt, the majority of the 1,300 parking spaces are free of charge, a few cost one euro per hour.
In Gemünden there are 370 free parking spaces in the city center area, another 21 cost 60 cents per hour.
Most of the parking spaces in Lohr are managed, including the Mainlände since the beginning of the year. If you park there for more than four hours, you pay two euros for 24 hours. There are around 2,000 managed parking spaces in the city center, but the first quarter of an hour is free.
