Mainfranken: Current corona vaccination status

The city and district of Würzburg have caught up with the corona vaccinations. The first and second vaccination rates there are now again above the national and Bavarian average. A total of around 165,600 people were vaccinated against corona in Würzburg’s vaccination centers, clinics and at the family doctor. This corresponds to 57.3 percent of the residents in the city and district. 120,550 people have already been vaccinated twice. Calculated for all residents, that’s 41.7 percent.

Federal and Bavarian section (as of Monday):

54.4 percent of German citizens have been vaccinated against Corona once. Another 38.2 percent twice.

The Bavarian average is slightly higher: the first vaccination rate there is 56.5 percent, the second vaccination rate 38.9 percent.

View of the districts of Main-Spessart and Kitzingen:

In Main-Spessart, as of Sunday, around 65,370 people received their first corona vaccination – at the vaccination center or at the doctor. That corresponds to 51.8 percent of those living there. 45,240 residents have already had two vaccinations. That is 35.9 percent of all residents there. Main-Spessart’s first and second vaccination rates are lower than the national and Bavarian average.

As of Friday, around 50,430 people in the Kitzingen district had been vaccinated against corona at the vaccination center or at the doctor’s. That corresponds to 55.3 percent of the residents there. About 36,740 are fully vaccinated. The second vaccination rate is 40.3. Both the first and the second vaccination rate are thus above the national and Bavarian average.

As reported, the vaccination center in Kitzingen wants to avoid that the vaccine remains unused. That is why it is now open to everyone – including residents from other districts.

Attention: The quotas from Main-Spessart and Kitzingen are not comparable with those from Würzburg. There are figures from vaccination centers, clinics and general practitioners. Data from the clinics are missing from Main-Spessart and Kitzingen.

Würzburg and Kitzingen are not planning any penalties for people who do not show up for the vaccination without being notified, nor are they planning to encourage vaccination. In the USA, for example, the population is lured into the vaccination booth with millions in profits.
