The corona incidence values in Mainfranken continue to decrease. In all urban and rural districts in the region, the values are now below 1,000.
The numbers are highest in the Main-Spessart district with an incidence of 900.2 (previous week: 1284.4). The city and district of Würzburg have values of 861.7 (previous week: 937.3) and 815.6 (previous week 1,122.3). The district of Kitzingen is 704.5 (previous week: 976.1).
The city of Schweinfurt currently has the lowest value with 639.5 (previous week: 907.7), the district of Schweinfurt has an incidence of 876.8 (previous week: 1,095.5).
LGL does not report figures over the weekend
Over the weekend on Tuesday are the first visible corona numbers since last Friday. The LGL (State Office for Health and Food Safety) and many other state authorities no longer report current figures to the Robert Koch Institute over the weekends and public holidays.
As a result, there can be strong fluctuations in the numbers, especially on the weekends and at the beginning of the week, but these are less meaningful.
12 Covid patients in intensive care units
There are currently twelve people with Covid disease in an intensive care unit in the Main Franconian hospitals, two of whom need to be ventilated.
This puts the number of corona intensive care patients at the lowest level since October 2021.
Numbers are likely to continue to decline
The Corona numbers are likely to continue to decline overall in the coming weeks. But this is also due to the fact that fewer and fewer people are being tested. Due to the discontinuation of regular tests in schools and kindergartens since the beginning of May, many more cases than before could remain undetected.
