Marktheidenfeld police warn of possible poison baits in Birkenfeld in the creek area.
There, on Friday January 6, 2023, a dog vomited several times after a walk. The animal then appeared apathetic and required veterinary attention.
According to the owner, the dog would have collected something in advance in the creek area in Birkenfeld. What exactly the dog had ingested and whether it was actually poisoned bait is not yet clear. So far, the police is also just a known case.
The police have launched an investigation and urge dog owners to be especially careful. If you find suspicious pieces of food/objects, keep your dog away from them, do not touch the find yourself, but inform the police.
