Main Franconia: So far, hardly any deployments due to storms

Storm Ylenia moves over Germany. So far, it has hardly had any impact in Mainfranken. The integrated control center of the fire brigade for Mainfranken in Würzburg speaks of few operations through fallen trees or larger fallen branches.

However, there is no significant damage. The electricity failed in the Kreuzwertheim/Hasloch area.

The storm is expected to have peaked in the morning hours.

Air traffic is affected nationwide. As a precaution, Lufthansa has canceled 20 domestic German flights at Frankfurt Airport. So far, the north and NRW have been hit the hardest.

Severe weather warning for parts of Mainfranken

The German Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning for parts of the Main-Spessart district. These are the higher elevations of the Spessart. Hurricane gusts of up to 110 km/h can occur here. For the rest of Mainfranken there is a warning about “distinctive weather”.
