The corona incidences in the region continue to fall – but the number of Covid intensive care patients is increasing. According to the DIVI intensive care register, 16 patients are currently in the Main Franconian intensive care units because of Corona. That’s three more than last week. Seven corona patients have to be ventilated.
Most are treated in Würzburg. According to DIVI, there are currently nine Covid intensive care patients there – more than half cannot breathe on their own. In the meantime, there is no corona case in the intensive care unit in the Kitzinger Land clinic.
And in general, the situation in the intensive care units in the region is still tense. There are currently 25 beds available in the Würzburg, Kitzingen, Main-Spessart and Schweinfurt area – out of almost 200.
