The Corona summer wave is ebbing away. The Robert Koch Institute assumes that the peak of the summer wave has passed. In Mainfranken, too, the nationwide development shows that the seven-day incidences fell sharply again in the past week, as in the previous week.
Significant declines in weekly comparisons
For comparison: In the city of Würzburg on Friday it was a good 406, a week ago it was 620 and two weeks ago it was over 1,125. The declines are similar in the other districts of Mainfranken.
In total, around 2,130 people were officially infected with the virus in the Würzburg area and in the Kitzingen and Main-Spessart districts last week, compared to 3,300 in the previous week and 4,860 two weeks earlier.

However, it is still the case that the incidence values do not reflect the complete infection process, since not every corona infection is also determined by an official test.
However, the RKI does not want to give the all-clear. Federal Minister of Health Lauterbach will hold a press conference on the Corona situation on Friday morning.
